Evan Brown

Dr Evan Brown LLB M.Sc is an Honorary Research Fellow in the School of Computer Science and member of SACHI who works with Factris in the Netherlands. Evan undertook his PhD in SACHI entitled “Corpus linguistics for the exploration of legal precedent”. Evan’s research interests include Human Computer Interaction, information visualisation and corpus linguistics. His studies here were concerned with the visualisation of legal precedent hierarchies that may be extracted from corpora of case law reports, records of court proceedings and judicial opinions under English law.
