Kenneth Boyd

Ken is a multi-disciplinary designer, consultant and educator. Since 2019, he has worked as CTO of New-York based digital design and engineering company Hollis Creative, which specialises in user-experience, design and product development for early and growth stage tech companies. Prior to this he spent over 15 years creating one of the UK's leading suppliers of educational tools and bespoke interactive exhibits to schools, museums and science centres. His team designed and built thousands of projects to engage and educate audiences of all ages throughout Europe, North America and Asia. In 2018 he left the company and continues to work as a consultant, advising on the design and production of exhibitions to many of the same clients. Ken is part of the SACHI group at the University of St Andrews and applies his industry experience to teaching on HCI modules offered in the school. He also supervises and co-supervises HCI project students at undergraduate and postgraduate level with a focus on user-experience (in its broadest sense) as well as the design and testing of objects involving tangible interactions.
