Abstract
Design, implementation, and evaluation of dynamic data graphics for the Health Behaviour in School-Aged Children Report
The Health Behaviours in School-aged Children (HBSC) study is a collaborative crossnational study with the World Health Organisation (WHO) that gathers data on schoolaged children at ages 11, 13 and 15 on a vast array of topics in their lives, such as body image, eating behavior, physical activity, school environment and much more. Currently they produce an approximately 250-page report every 4 years that contains some of the data they gather, graphs of this data and professional summaries and descriptions.
This project proposes, designs, implements and evaluates a dynamic, responsive graphical web visualization of the data they gather that could compliment the current print report, or even replace it.
The project took place in collaboration with the HBSC cross-national study (http://hbsc.org).
