PROJECT: TYPOGRAPHIC INFORMATION VISUALISATIONS
Information Visualization is a research area whose goal is to enable people better analyse data and obtain new insights through the use of interactive visual representations and graphical techniques. It is a technique that allows users to attach more meaning to the same data that would have otherwise been abstract through the use of interactive visual designs in a way that facilitates human interaction for exploration and better understanding. Such visualized data can help support decision making among many others.
This project involves experimenting extensively with typographic representations to create visually appealing visualizations, and it aims to help solve one of the main challenges of information visualization which is making as much information as possible available to users without increasing clutter or obscuring other information, in addition to helping to support decision making.
At the end of this project we aim to have produced a set of intuitive and useful visualizations.
