Anne-Marie Mann

Anne-Marie Mann completed here PhD entitled The role of technology in the classroom: advantages, limitations and potential. While in SACHI she was supervised by Professor Aaron Quigley and Dr Uta Hinrichs. Her research explored the use educational technologies with children in a classroom context, with a specific interest in handwriting. Independent of her studies, during her time here she took part in the civic challenge programme EdinburghApps, run by the City of Edinburgh Council. Her work gave rise to a novel app that supports those recovering from addiction to find a way back into regular life and was the winner in the competitive “Health” category. The subsequent award led to the foundation of TM&R LTD and their ARC-app.
